To Heal Underworld (from the movie Sunshine)

I’ve been listening to this piece of music frequently in the past few days. I had mixed feelings on Sunshine, but I suspect on a second viewing I might look past its antecedents (2001, Solaris) and enjoy it more. I do remember being moved by the final scenes (excerpted in this clip), with the theme of self-sacrifice for the greater good of reigniting the sun (the life force for everyone). Choosing life for others rather than a living death for yourself (it makes sense if you’ve seen the film - I don’t want to spoil anything as the movie’s only a few years old). Underworld’s music here has that great ambient, Eno-inspired sound that suggests the future with a sense of warmth befitting the film.
